Hand applique

On my list...

Walking upstairs to my sewingroom, this is what I meet.... I always use the banister to hang projects that needs to be quilted.... It sure looks like I need to get some serious quilting time in soon.... Thursday was spent on the floor basting my "be attitudes" quilt, I also managed to applique the hearts onto the Christmas kitchen set. There is also another runner there, with great big poppies in the larger squares. A fun pattern (sorry I can't remember the name of it at the moment...) but I think I will be making more runners from the same pattern.
My laptop has decided to play up, so I have abandoned it- now I have to share the "house computer" with the boys and DH... Now the boys LOVE their computer time, so this is what usually meets me outside my sewing room.... Now Sigve was busy watching Golden League on TV tonight, so Ola got the comuter all to himself, until I sent him off to bed so I could have my turn...lol.
I hope you have a great weekend, thank you for stopping by!

  2. I used to have a banister to hang quilts from when I lived in South Carolina. Oh, I do miss it.

  3. I'm so glad I've found an easier way of basting quilts, because of a bad leg break and subsequant operation to pin bones together I can't kneel and baste - bless Sharon Schamber and her table top basting method, it's so much easier and you can even leave it to come back to and finish at a later date (I saw her video on Youtube) check it out

  7. Love the display of your projects!

I do exactly the same, but my cat loves to jump on the banister, so all the projects end up at the bottom of the stairs.

  8. A nice variety of tops on the banister and they would be stopping me to admire them each time I climbed those stairs .

  10. A banister is a perfect spot to hang the quilts - that way you get to enjoy their beauty whilst they are waiting to be completed.
