Hand applique

On my list...

Walking upstairs to my sewingroom, this is what I meet.... I always use the banister to hang projects that needs to be quilted.... It sure looks like I need to get some serious quilting time in soon.... Thursday was spent on the floor basting my "be attitudes" quilt, I also managed to applique the hearts onto the Christmas kitchen set. There is also another runner there, with great big poppies in the larger squares. A fun pattern (sorry I can't remember the name of it at the moment...) but I think I will be making more runners from the same pattern.
My laptop has decided to play up, so I have abandoned it- now I have to share the "house computer" with the boys and DH... Now the boys LOVE their computer time, so this is what usually meets me outside my sewing room.... Now Sigve was busy watching Golden League on TV tonight, so Ola got the comuter all to himself, until I sent him off to bed so I could have my turn...lol.
I hope you have a great weekend, thank you for stopping by!

  1. Love your WIP display...Be Attitudes is looking good. Good luck getting much computer time with those boys in the house!

  2. I used to have a banister to hang quilts from when I lived in South Carolina. Oh, I do miss it.

  3. I'm so glad I've found an easier way of basting quilts, because of a bad leg break and subsequant operation to pin bones together I can't kneel and baste - bless Sharon Schamber and her table top basting method, it's so much easier and you can even leave it to come back to and finish at a later date (I saw her video on Youtube) check it out

  4. YOur display is beautifu of your works in progress. Love that handsome son in the picture, Faith will see it later today when she comes over.We are leaving this week to visit Lorie in Calif.it will be fun visit her and her boys.Have a lovely week. Many hugs, Marie

  5. Olá! Conheci seu cantinho e é tudo de bom! Lindo e criativo!
    Amei mesmo!!!

  6. Love your display, very pretty quilt tops for sure! What a darling son you have!

  7. Love the display of your projects!

I do exactly the same, but my cat loves to jump on the banister, so all the projects end up at the bottom of the stairs.

  8. A nice variety of tops on the banister and they would be stopping me to admire them each time I climbed those stairs .

  9. Wonderful projects you have there and a great spot to have them gretting you. I also have a banister and love to measure my quilts for borders there..the perfect place!

  10. A banister is a perfect spot to hang the quilts - that way you get to enjoy their beauty whilst they are waiting to be completed.

  11. Ser ut som om du har fått sydd en del ja - gled deg til quiltingen, det er jo så koselig når produktene er ferdige og kan tas i bruk. Ønsker deg en riktig god helg :-)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it!
