I love weekends- don't you? This weekend brought us summer temperatures, and we did our best to enjoy every singe minute. You never know how long this nice weather will last... Sharon over at Red Geranium Cottage had a wonderful post last week, about how they made grilled pizza, and it just looked sooo good... Friday night is Pizza night at our house, and I wanted to make grilled pizzas Friday a week ago, but then we had some serious rain and 34 degrees F, so the pizza was baked in the oven inside. This Friday we had perfect weater for some serious pizza fun! I made the dough as usual, made five pizza crusts and grilled them on a very HOT grill for a few minutes.
Then we all made our own pizza with the toppings we wanted, and I threw them on the grill again (well, actually I put them CAREFULLY on the grill...) After a few minutes, the pizzas were done, and boy were they good!
Hmmm, that table REALLY need some flowers and candles... How embarrasing...
After I stuffed myself with the pizza I was off to a friends house for "girls night". We are 9 friends who meet once a month, and girls night means more great eating... this time the meeting was about 10 km. from me, and two friends and myself decided to ride our bikes.there is a dirtroad that goes through the woods, and it was so nice to ride in the sun. By the time we got there we were hungry again and ready for some lovely pasta salad and wine. Since it doesn't get dark here, we were able to ride merrily home at midnight :) When I got home there were two tents in our garden. The kids and three of their friends were having a sleepover and all six were sound asleep- some snoring... They actually slept two nights in the tents :)
Ok, I keep rambling on and on... here's what I'm working on now; a happy bright quilt from Linda Lum DeBono's book "Cool girls quilt". I LOVE that book, I think I want to make all the projects in it...
If you're still reading, I want to let you know I truly appreciate all your comments.
Have a terrific week!
