Tablerunner- not so pink....
I finally finished this tablerunner on Saturday. The pattern is called "Rosa natt" (Pink night), but as you can see I changed the colors a bit.... I got the pattern and fabrics from "Syskrinet" this spring, at our big weekend in Hell. The pattern is one of AnnAKa's. I started it a while back, but when I got to the applique part, it just sat for a while. There is supposed to be beads and more quilting on it, but I am happy with the way it looks now. At our house tablerunners and -toppers tend to need washing quite often, and I'm not sure the beads would stay on after a while.
I did more sewing this weekend as well, I finally used some of my charm packs, and sewed together some table toppers. One is almost finished, the other two needs to be quilted, pictures will come!
Today rain is pouring down, I took Sigve (the kid hanging upside-down in my last post) to get his eye exam this morning, and we got soaked running from the car and into the house. He was sooo happy he didn't need glasses, but it was good to get the checkup before school starts again next Monday- I can not believe summervacation is almost over and DD will be in Jr.High... The strange part is I'm not getting ANY older, even tough the kids are growing up LOL.
I have also signed up for the Secret Santa Christmas Swap over at Donna's blog. I love Christmas, and when I read about this swap I just HAD to join! Why don't you visit her blog if you want to join in as well?
Have a wonderful day everyone!

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteYour table runner looks wonderful! I really like your colour choice! I've been wondering perhaps making it in some blues (whenever I find the time for that...).

Incredibly Classy piece... the bowl fits perfectly too.
ReplyDeleteYour tablerunner is wonderful, Anne! I love the simplicity of it--just perfect!
ReplyDeleteAnne I do love the colours you chose for the runner. I was given a couple of Annak patterns and am trying to figure out if the quilting is done before the applique. I don't read the language....lol...

ReplyDeleteLove the tablerunner! Your choice of colours is wonderful, much better than pink! ;o) lol How are you finding being a shop owner? One day I'll take the plunge! I read you about summer almost being over. I keep looking at my calender and think of the days filled with school work! I will need to schedule some quilting time in there! Keep well!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the table runner. Your colors are great! You could do that same thing in different colors and have one for each season! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the table runner. You do such lovely work and have such great sense of colour. What did you use to make the stems on the flowers?

Kjempefin løper. Nydelige farger. Det er jo dette som er så spennende, å se de forskjellige utgavene av et mønster. Takk for titten i bloggen din. Jeg har virkelig kost meg. Må vel sjekke ut nettbutikken din også. God helg :o)
