First, I just want to thank everyone for their wonderful comments on my last post. I have added all the suggestions for a shop name onto my list, and I have a pretty long list of possible names now. The one name I always have loved- Bit for Bit - or Piece by Piece in English, is already taken by another quilt shop in Norway, and since there aren't that many shops here, I will have to decide on a different name. I will let you know when I have made my decision.
I have managed to get some sewing done this weekend as well. I finally finished my "Angel from Hell" bag from the quilt association's annual meeting yesterday, and I will use it to keep my 365 day challenge pieces in. That way it will be easy to take it with me on trips and vacations ( like I will be going anywhere once the shop opens...LOL)
Kini is going on a schooltrip for a week, and wanted a new pencilcase, so she pulled the fabrics she wanted, and I made her one today, or actually I made two- these are so quick to make, and it just makes sense to sew two at a time.
This coming week I will try to finish up a couple of UFO's, they seem to multiply in numbers all by themselves LOL I have no idea how that pile got so high... Have a great week everyone!
I love the angel from hell bag, and the pencil cases are great. They would make terrific presents.
ReplyDeleteI feel so happy for you and the new adventure of opening your very own quilt shop. It sounds so wonderful. If I were there, I would surely come shopping. I can't wait to see the photos and read all about it when you get it ready to open!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new business venture... I wish you all the best. The bags are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThat bag turned out so great! I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pencil cases! I love the stitching you did on them -- so fun. Thank you so much for the amazing first aid kit! It arrived in today's mail and I just love it all!!
ReplyDeleteSå fine sminkepungar. Er det Lise Bergene?
ReplyDeleteNo ventar eg i spenning på neste trekk i butikk-saka! Synd Tynset ligg så langt borte.
What a great idea for keeping your supplies for the 365 quilt in this angel bag! Looking forward to seeing your progress on the quilt.
ReplyDeleteSå flott blogg du har! Synes pungene du har sydd ble kjempefine, posen med stitcheryet også! Ha en fin helg!
