Happy Easter!

Yes, I know that seems early for a lot of you out there, but here in Norway, the kids are out of school for over a week. I took the day off, and have been cleaning the house and packing for our trip to the cabin. It is only an hour away, up in the mountains, but we love to spend time there as often as we can. It's actually my parents cabin, so we are staying with them, and my brother and his girlfriend will be there as well. There is no electricity (or running water) up there, so I won't be able to stalk other blogs, or post anything for about 11 days (how will I survive...??) And no electricity means no sewing machine... I guess my stitchery will be done by the time we come home. We ski a lot when we're up there, and make bonfires to roast marsh mallows and hot dogs. The official Norwegian "Easter snack" is chocolate (kvikk lunsj) and oranges... (the picture on the top is of my sweet Mom, taken last easter.)
HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER!

  14. Whoa, I'm so jealous. Here in Wisconsin there are only hills (they call them mountains, but they're not very big). I'm sure you're having a wonderful time with family and good yummies. See you when you get back! ;)

  16. Happy Easter! I hope you enjoy your vacation. It is strange to see snow pictures in April, but it is cold here too. At least skiing would make it fun!
