I've started the "Easter friends" table runner by AnnAKa. I changed the colors from the original pattern to brighter "happier" spring colors, I just love happy colors :)
I was going to play with my charm squares last night, to make a table topper like Darlene but I ran out of time.. (time flies when you're having fun...) Now I have to quilt the table runner before I applique the hen and the rooster in the heart, and then all the eggs of course. I don't think I will be done in time for our Easter holiday, we leave for the cabin on Friday, but then again I have plenty of time until Easter 2008!
Oh, and I've been working just a little on my stitchery (in case you wondered...)
I'm with you on the happy colors. I made a quilt that called for primitive colors and I didn't really enjoy working on it that much. I'm very happy with how it turned out, but it's not on my couch like all the "happy" ones. :) I love your colors! :)

ReplyDeleteI like those colors too. But I also like the primitive colors, although the 'happy colors' are nicer for spring. You're moving right along on the stitchery too. Looking good! :)
