Strip challenge

Just a quick post today to show you my "turnabout" strip quilt. As you might remember Hanne has a strip challenge going this summer to use some of those pretty Jelly Rolls. I finished the binding yesterday, and can now cross it off my list of stuff to get done before leaving for Florida next week. Another thing on my list is to clean my sewing room, and last night I started with the fabric shelves- it looked like a disaster area (I'm not kidding!!) These are my shelves- now it has been close to impossible to find anything that's not laying on top here...
This is my new "look". I had an empty rack with four drawers like this and moved it into my sewingroom. Now most of my fabrics will be neatly folded like this, and I will be able to see what I actually have.... Now my jelly rolls, FQ packs and charm packs will still live on my shelf- they just look so cute, and now they will have plenty of room as well. I told DH I had to do this clean up so I would see how much fabric I do have, and not buy so much while on vacation- but of course now it will look like I have hardly any fabric at all- so of course I will need to shop!
Have a great day!

  8. Imponerende å få ryddet opp i stoffhyllene! Jeg har fått en bok "Freddy's House" av Freddy Moran. En frodig dame det er vel verdt å google. Nyt syrommet og hygg deg i Florida. Godt med ryddige hyller når du kommer tilbake! Fortsatt god sommer. Anne
