Block night

Once a month I have "block night" at the shop, and we make a new traditional 12" block every month. Tuesday was the second group this month, as I was unable to fit everyone that signed up in the shop at the same time LOL. We made the Monkey wrench block this month, and I just love seeing the different color combinations- don't you?

I also managed to finish the placemats, and they now reside at the shop- two in the window and two inside. With the weather yesterday- snowing horizontally- I thought they were quite fitting. I'm sure I would look just about the same if I tried skiing in that weater LOL.

I am still stitching away on Truly Scrumptious, and today I've sewn the pieced borders onto the blocks I finished stitching.
If you go to Lynette's blog, she has a wonderful free stitchery project for you to follow to celebrate her 1 year bloggiversary. I've traced mine, and I'm ready to start stitching, will you join? (ok, so the stitching might be AFTER next week and the big dance show the kiddos are in since I'll be there doing makeup and costumes just about every day and night...)But I have it ready to go... maybe I'll just take it along with me, there has to be a few spare moments in between it all, don't you think?
