Sorry!

I am sorry it has been a week since my last post... Last weekend and this whole week has kept me busy with all three kids getting the flu- one after the other.... Monday Ola was in bad shape, he had a bad astma attack along with a high fever- and he's still not well again, he's been home from school all week. Sigve was home from school Monday and Tuesday, and Kini came home early on Wednesday- and she's still home sick. This morning Sigve had a sceduled surgery at the hospital, and he's at home now, a bit groggy from the sedation during surgery. Tomorrow we're leaving for Toten to celebrate my father in law's 80th birthday, and I am just praying the kids will miraculously recover tonight :-)
I haven't had time to do a lot of sewing- but I have finished the first two blocks of "Truly Scrumptious" and I started the third block this morning at the hospital. The placemats are still on my designwall- waiting to get finished, and I got some great new patterns and books at the shop this week that I am just dying to start.... And of course I have to try all the new gizmos that came in as well, like the yo-yo makers and paintstiks.
With a lack of brand new pictures, I will show you this block that I made for the birthday block swap- the lady has received and opened it now- so it is safe to show. She requested a "Wizard of Oz" theme in bright primary colours- so here's what I came up with- the house that fell on the wicked witch of the East (it was East, right??)
And while I was in the brightly coloured mood- I made this bag with some Dick and Jane fabrics I had ordered LOTS of for a small quilt. The pattern I used for the bag is "Candy" by Melly and Me. I made a mistake on it- but I am not going to tell you what it is.... if you take a look at the original you will see it right away. I will make more bags like this one- but without the mistake...
Hope you have a wonderful and healthy weekend!

The little block is so cute, it certainly is the Wizard of Oz! Did you design it yourself? It's great.
