The bag actually felted pretty good. I might knit another one in a different yarn, and see what happens. It was a great pattern with almost no assembly required once the knitting was done.
Your swap blocks look great! About signing them, I fear as well that it will take a long time. What a cute little bag. I knit as well but I have never felted before. Doesn´t it damage the washing machine?
