Baking day

Today is a holiday in Norway, and everything is closed, which means an extra day off from work.... I was going to sew all day, but got "stuck" in the kitchen making yummy goodness.... I started off making pancakes for breakfast- the kids LOVE a nice American breakfast.... then I decided to make some cinnamon rolls for coffee, and invite my mom over.

Here they are ready to go into the oven.....

My mom was working on our BOM- Le Jardin by Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill design.  We're on block one...
And Kristine was working on her quilt for arts and craft class at school...
Now I am heading into the sewingroom to work on a bag...

I love this new AnnAKa pattern.... I will show more when it's done!

Are you sick of food pictures yet?? Thought I'd share today's dinner as well- Chicken and dumplings with homemade mashed potatoes- my favorite!

  1. Så koselig med tre generasjoner sydamer! Her er jeg alene... har ingen mor, og dattera gidder ikke sy... Kos dere!

  2. Looks like a lovely day at your place! Yummy cinnamon rolls & I am eager to see that owl you are stitching!

  3. Hey there,I not only could take quilting lessons from you but now I see cooking too.I love your blog so much!!. Love to all, have a great week-end. Marie
