First of all I would like to say thank you for your comments these last couple of weeks. We had the best time in Houston- words can not describe how it felt to be at Market and Festival. Meeting so many lovely quilters was truly an amazing experience that we will cherish forever! I will post more Market pictures next time, but I have not loaded them into our computer yet.
There were so many lovely booths at Festival, and we found many new projects... My "problem" was I already had about fifteen new projects from Market.... Oh dear... oh well...
One of the big differences between Market and Festival was the amount of people.... At festival it tended to get a bit crowded, with long lines in a few booths, but it was worth the lines and the crowds. Everyone was just so happy to be there I think, and I did not hear one single complaint :-)
My favorite time of Festival was meeting up with Connie for dinner. We have followed each others blogs for a couple of years, and it was such a treat to finally meet her in real life! She brought me the prettiest Jim Shore figurine, I love it! Connie is such a sweet person, and I hope we'll meet up again in the future. Connie- thank you so much for a lovely time!
Now I hope to get something done in my sewingroom this afternoon before I have to clean the house and bake....
So happy to see your post this morning. I can feel the excitement from festival in yours and Connie's posts. She is as sweet as you, even though I have not met her in person I can feel it through her post. Have a lovely weekend and don't work too hard. We are heading to Faith's ice recital .Many hugs, Marie
ReplyDeleteSo glad to read your post about the Festival. Are you rested up from the long travel which was hours and hours compared to my less-than-two-hours-return-flight. Your photo turned out better than mine so I will copy yours. I loved meeting up with you and know that one day we'll do it again, somewhere, somehow, someplace. Happy Birthday, too, a wee bit early. Hope you have a very special day! xo
ReplyDeletePS, thanks to Marie who wrote such a sweet comment above.
