Another fun week is over. This past Tuesday was our
"Fjellquilten" guild meeting, and I brought the Christmas set by AnnAKa to start making all the yo-yo's that go in the hearts. I love our guild meetings- there is a lot of sewing going on, and a lot of talking.... we all get lots of inspiration from each other! Kristine (DD) came after her twirling practice, and she continued making the yo-yo's while I sewed them onto the tablerunner. (and she also snapped this picture of us.)
Since we are going to Houston for Market (and festival) this year, we decided we needed to make new bags.... (a friend and my Mom are coming with me). I just finished mine tonight. We all used a really nice pattern called "Bentes skulderveske" by talented Norwegian designer Bente Malm.
We thought it would be nice to show off a Norwegian design while shopping....
While photographing the bag I realized we have lots of berries in the yard now... These, according to the translation website are called "cowberries" or Mountain cranberries. After work tomorrow I should go out and pick some.
My banister- as I told you is now empty- My "Be attitudes" quilt now waits to be bound. I haven't decided on the binding yet....
I'm off to pick up Ola from a birthday party, take care and have a great weekend!
Love your new bag - looks like a nice roomy design - perfect for all those goodies you will find in Houston!
ReplyDeleteSer ut som du har hatt en kjempeuke på syfronten. Misunnelig - ja litt!
ReplyDeleteYour bag looks great...you will have a wonderful trip...lots of shopping! Thankyou for sharing all your lovely pics...I love the snowman!
ReplyDeleteGOOD GRACIOUS! Moving stinks. I am FINALLY catching up on all my blog friends. Some haven't posted much, but some have posted a LOT! I can't comment on all that I just read, but here is one for all. :) Your shop looks awesome. Your projects look fun. Your Norway looks spectacular. Did you ever pick any of those berries? I can't wait to see that Christmas quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a fun gathering, and looks like you got so much done! Very pretty bag, I am going to try to go to Houston for one of the days.
ReplyDeleteYou’re going to Houston? OMG, you lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteThe bag is gorgeous!
Olá amiga!
ReplyDeletePassei para rever seu cantinho e as novidades que estão cada vez melhores.
Um ótimo começo de semana!
Beijinhos carinhosos.

We considered going to Houston but haven't committed yet ... I'm reading about so many bloggy friends who are going. Some are going to Market and others to the quilt show. I'd love to be there at both but that isn't possible. If we decide to go it will be only for the quilt show. If I'm there I'll be looking for you!
