A while back I told you about some secret sewing... well, the special someone I was sewing for is our sweet daughter Kristine. For her confirmation I wanted to make her a special quilt, and started finding pictures of her from she was a baby until today. I had so much fun looking through all her photoalbums to find "the perfect" pictures. Under each photo I have stitched the year it was taken. I added a picture of one of her bunnies as well, and a drawing she made last year. I really enjoyed working on her quilt, I used a pattern from Leanne's book "Living the dream ". There is supposed to be stitcheries where I have the photos, and I did add two of the stitcheries as well ("take the time to dream" in one square, and her name in another).
I had a great time making this quilt, and Kristine was very excited when she received it on her confirmation- she had no idea I was making it for her.
Just thought I'd share a couple of more pictures from her big day... Here she is with her brothers
I love this shot of Kristine and her friend in their national costumes.
Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day!
By the way, it seems summer is finally here!!! The sun is shining, and it is supposed to get up to 23c today (73F) woo hoo!!! No more gloves or wool sweaters!!!!!
