some finishes

I feel sooooo good! I have been working on my wip's and here is the result of Monday's sewing. (I had the day off!) I finished this tabletopper, pattern by AnnAKa (Familien magazine). It was supposed to say God Jul, or Merry Christmas, but I decided to just paint the apples so that we can use it year round. The Apples are painted with Paintstiks. Fun and EASY!

Another finish was the chicken stitchery by Leanne Beasley. I deciced to bind it instead of trying to find a frame for it... It's now hanging in our kitchen- hooray! I started it this summer, and finished the stitching, but for some reason it has been laying in my sewing room without a border. Shame on me!

And finally I got this pillowcase done. I could not understand the instructions that came in the kit, but through Jane I found this tutorial, and hey- it was quick and fun! And definetly a stash reducer. I will be making more uf these. I have lots of cool prints that i don't know how to use since a lot of them are too small to be used for borders. I think Kristine will be dreaming of Florida when she sleeps on this, don't you?
Well, I better be going, we are off to the trade fair to buy inn all those new goodies for the shop- fabrics, patterns, yarn, clothes, jewelry, home decor stuff- you name it. We are going to have a ball, AND we're taking the train, so there will be time to do some stitching. I have prepared the rest of the Noahs' Ark blocks, hopefully I will finish a couple of them :-)
Until next time, have fun, and thank you for dropping by!
