Happy 4th of July!
I'll be thinking of y'all having a great day with friends and family today! Wish I could be in Florida with my friends, maybe even at Disney, they probably have a wonderful parade today (and it will probably be packed as well...)
Thank you for your nice comments on my summer quilt, the pattern was in the May/June issue of Fons&Porters love of quilting. I sell the magazine at the shop, so I wanted to make a quilt from each issue... Now yesterday I finally received the three other publications I will be carrying- American Patchwork & Quilting, Quilt Sampler, and Quilts and More. It's taken a looong time to get them here, and I am thrilled they finally sorted out how to ship them overseas. Monica has the front cover of Quilts and More, and I love her quilt. I have a few charm packs with 30's fabrics which I will be using to make one for myself, but first I need to finish a couple of other projects. My stitchery is slowly getting done, I will post pictures when I have a few more stitches in. I only work on it at night, and working two jobs at the moment keeps me out of the house most of the night... The kids are with my parents at the cabin this week, so I'm able to work as much as I can while they are gone.
Having my own shop is wonderful, I love being here, and it really doesn't even feel like work :) Yesterday I received four large packages from a supplier in the States, and it was like Christmas Eve opening them up and getting the fabrics, patterns and notions out in the store. I love my life!
Have a wonderful day!
To all of you in the States- Happy Independence Day!
