One project finished- one started.

Today I finished my "Maurits" table runners by AnnAKa. I've made the whole set- two runners in different sizes, and a small place mat. It was a fun project- but as always, I'm ready to start on something new :) I've cut all the pieces for the top, and hope to start sewing tomorrow. What will it be you ask.... well, you'll just have to wait and see, or better yet, take a guess. I will give you a clue- I found the pattern in an American quilting magazine, and there will be some big appliqued ... on the top. And NO it's not another bag LOL.
I will be sewing it on my new Husqvarna Viking Mega quilter, I love that thing, it sews up a storm! I sell Husqvarna machines at the shop, and the great part is that I get to try a lot of them out, and I must say this is my favorite for now. I really haven't gotten around to try most of the others yet...I hope you have a wonderful week, life as a quilt shop owner is just wonderful so far, (beside the fact that it's a slow time of year), I get to do a lot of sewing, which is just great. The web shop should be working now, and I sent out the first packages this morning, I was so excited! Well, there seem to be some housework that has been neglected here, off to do the laundry and mop the floors...

  1. Hey Anne, I wish you could come to our Fabric Depot/lunch trip in Oregon, too! Oh well. I hope to get out to your side of the world someday...that would be SO COOL!! :) As for your pictures..Love the table runner, the new fabrics for your "mystery" project are sweet, and that machine is AWESOME! I have the Viking Rose. I've had it for about 8 or 9 years now and I love it, but that mega quilter....ooo, I'm drooling! :)
