Kristine has moved to her student dorm in Oslo, and I am staying with her for a few days getting everything she needs for her life as a university student...
This is the view from her room...
Today we walked around and explored the area around her apartment.
We walked through a cemetery and found the graves of some famous Norwegians, like Ivar Aasen, Henrik Wergeland and Camilla Collett
We also visited "Mathallen" ( the food Hall/ Farmers Market). I think Kristine weill be going there again!
Close to her apartment we found a cute park with this cool statue in Kristine's favorite color....
Cool detail! Wonder if they have fun mowing the lawn here....???
We have been cooking and eating in her apatment. She has her own bathroom, but shares kitchen with three other students. We went to IKEA (again) last night and bought the big clock to hang on the wall, and a shelf for some of her stuff.... ( and some flowers...)
Yesterdays dinner was chicken and vegetables with Feta cheese. You can find the recipe here on Nigella's website. I haven't been able to find Halloumi cheese in Tynset, so I have always used Feta instead, and it is just soooo good! We browned the chicken and baked it in the oven with the vegetables and it was really great!
Now we're heading out again with my cousin who lives right up the street. He is going to show Kristine the quickest way to walk to the University, and which buildings she will have lectures in. He also studied Geology there a few years ago, and it is really nice to know she has him close by if she ever needs help, since we live 320km away....
Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
