Svein took the boys to a cross country ski race today, they both compete, and today's race was in Sjusjøen which is a 3,5 hr drive from where we live ( one way). They left at 6:30 this morning, so I had a full day of sewing ( and watching sports on TV....) First I finished all the blocks for the quilt- yeeey!
Then this fabric was begging to be made into pretty thread baskets ( one for the shop and one for me....)
And of course I still had fabric left over, so I mad a different basket and a couple of key chains..... I printed out the tutorial for the fabric basket from Sew, Mama Sew last year.... It is called " Happy Hostess Gift Box". I did enlarge it a bit to use more fabric :-)
Then I stitched this while watching the last leg of Tour de Ski.... Our local skier Therese Johaug did great and came in 2nd, way to go!!
By the way my boys both came in 7th in their races today, which was really great, I am so proud of them. Next Sundays race is in Trondheim, so I'll join them and cheer them on :-)
